Condition White

Gunsite grads and like-minded folk know what Condition White is-- " Relaxed, unaware, and unprepared. If attacked in this state the only thing that may save you is the inadequacy and ineptitude of your attacker. When confronted by something nasty your reaction will probably be, "Oh my God! This can't be happening to me." "
Sometimes I wonder about the US military...
This came over the wire in a blast email the other day:
"ALCON,There were 5 scarves in a white plastic bag left in the ______. If anyone found these scarves, please contact SSgt M______. The scarves are to be used in the Hispanic Heritage performance today."
I'm always glad to hear that we're all dialed in and ready for action, and that we have our priorities straight.
Yep, I'm having one of those days, and one of those soul-trying weeks.

This is what happens when you mix 70% garrison with 30% combat zone attitude. A perfect example of how you start to lose a good combat mindset and revert back to "condition white" but dont worry because it does wonders for morale....unbelieveable

It is just hard for me to understand - I cannnot imagine I would want a "Russian Heritage" festival if I was deployed... Never heard about such desire from any of the Russian-speaking deployed troops either :o)

I hear ya, We're worried about cultural events when our guys are being blasted in remote combat outposts. Makes you wonder what the hell is going on?!?!?!
