More ANGLICO training

By Slab

I've been absent yet again, but rather than make excuses I thought I'd just post pictures of what I've been up to. I'm taking next week off as well to take a trip to Colorado, from which I will return a married man. Then it's back to the field for more training.

And lastly, Yours Truly testing the capabilities of a new headset by controlling an aircraft while wearing my gas mask. The aircrew reported no problems understanding me, and the Marines around me said they could hear my voice crystal clear over the radio speaker, even though they couldn't understand me when I tried to talk to them from 5 ft away. Not too shabby.

Dear "Slab": First, may I say a sincere Congratulations on your upcoming wedding. May you and your bride enjoy a long life together filled with all God's Blessings of love, good health, happiness, and humour. May your road ahead be long and straight, and being a Marine you'll have no problems kicking any rocks out of the way.God Bless You Both, Now And Always.

Second, how interesting that the sound is so clear to the air crew but not the Marines standing close. I have one question, if you're allowed to answer. Would the purpose of the helmet be for the air crew to relay information back to ground Troops or the other way 'round, or would it be of more help in an urban combat setting? Excuse my ignorance, but I'm unclear as to the real purpose for such a piece of equipment for ground Troops. Thank you, once again for a most interesting post, sir.

Hey Slab,

Interesting pix of the UH-1N(?) firing the rocket/missle. Is that a Marine or SEAL thing? Any info on configuration and mission available? I have a special love for Huey gunships ever since my days in in B model gunpig back in WW 2.5.

Aloha

yeah I was curious about that, too.

Otherwise a fine tribute to USMC badassery.

It's nice to see that Anglico is out in the fore front still doing what we all did best.

Thats actually not over the destin coastline at all. That's the north shore sexy lingeriewholesale lingerie of choctawhatchee bay. You can tell by the sparsely populated coastline and the fact that they didnt land on top of an Escalade or H3

Need help finding an ANGLICO division servered in Beirut in 1984. I am getting something for Christmas for a retired Marine and I want to surprise him. Please HELP if anyone knows! 1st, 2D, 3D or 4th? He was in charge of security transport in a jeep caravan.

I need some assistance in locating an ANGLICO division that served in Beirut in 1984 for a few years. I am getting something for a retired Marine for Christmas and I want to surprise him with the correct logo on a shirt. He informed me that he was in charge of security transport in a jeep caravan.

Can anyone HELP me surprise him? 1st, 2D, 3D or 4th?? Please anyone? Thank you in advance and Merry Christmas!
