Camo Testing

By John

Glory be to John Donovan for this gem. The new Army BDU pattern seems to be quite effective, even in the most mundane of urban settings.

Holy God, I didn't even realize there was a person there until about fifteen seconds after I viewed it.

Maybe there is something to this ACU after all. And here I thought it was just a poor man's version of MultiCam.

Now if we can ensure that our enemies import awefully upholstered furniture...

LMAO!

Oh, man... The boots are the main giveaway, otherwise it blends in soooo well!

Hehhh... this and the IED Hunter are hilarious.

I think Steve Irwin would've loved the lampoon.

Wonder if Sofa Camo works for football game watching when the little woman comes a lookin for chores to be done?

Michael   ·  December 8, 2006 08:23 PM

LOL It took me a while...

The sad thing is... I thought you guys were talking about the couch itself, how some soldier upholstered an old couch with pretty ACU.

If it weren't for the face and boots, I would have seriously thought that the soldier was a set of pillows and blanket.

LOL! That's good! I too didn't realize at first that there was a person laying there.

About two months ago we got a catalog in the mail with children's bedroom furniture and linens, etc. in it.

One page had the whole ACU set up. Sheets, pillowcases, pillows, curtains, etc. It even had solid-color rugs set in the three ACU colors. My five-year-old and my wife, however, aren't that hooah...

This explains the rise and fall of the Ottoman Empire...

Here in Tennessee, I see Mossy Oak Camo vinyls applied to huntin' pick ups all the time. I also see Army BDU's on brave Volunteers all the time, one guy from the 10th Mountain Division every Monday at the store. Evrybody notices those BDU's and I bet he gets a few free cold ones. He deserves it.

Dear lord, finally something I can blend into in uniform. I'd nearly given up.

SPC-IC   ·  April 21, 2008 02:30 PM

Well, at least we know they're good for Urban Warfare. Or should that be Suburban?
