Picture of the Day: Smile!

Don't ask me how they got the F-15 to sit still for this photo....

An F-15E Strike Eagle soars over the mountains of Afghanistan providing close-air support to deter enemy activities. The F-15Es and other coalition aircraft flew 111 close-air-support missions in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Only 111 CAS missions? Wow, looks like either the Predators have been busier than thought, or someone forgot to mention the time span that number was within.... :)

Actually the caption was for one of their airpower summary reports, so I think it was 111 CAS missions in a two-week period. Which does sound a bit more appropriate.

An A-6 Intruder loaded for bear still looks better.
Naval Aviation, Still been around longer than the air force.
