Faces of Courage

By John

I received some outstanding news today, MSNBC has decided to run a series of 60 second vignettes honoring America's military heroes, appropriately titled Faces of Courage. The first bit, dedicated to Medal of Honor recipient Paul Ray Smith, will be shown on MSNBC in the coming days. So you can wait a few days, or you can watch it here now, heh.

I uploaded to YouTube, so feel free to share via email or blog. And that's the important part.

It's very important that you email them at email them and let the network folks know that you support them. Send the clip to your family and your friends. Post it on your blog. Do the right thing, and help honor America's fallen.

Wow,
I wish I could hear more of this and the largely untold stories of the heros of this conflict in the MSM. It's a sad reflection of the MSM and a certain big segment of this society.

It is so hard to uncover these stories, yet it is possible without the MSM. I'm sorry, I just cannot find myself watching MSNBC,CNN,ABC et al...it seems to me that when they run these great stories of brave men and women they are doing it with a hidden agenda, not true sincerity. Personaly, I dont think they give a damn at all about the men and women in uniform...excpet when their ratings get low.

God Bless the United States Military Branches

Sadly, I find myself agreeing with S.Willis. But at least it is a start. These men and women deserve their countries recognition and gratitude, regardless of the motivation of the MSM.

I admit that it's a nice sentiment, and long overdue. Perhaps the growth of Fox News and the concurrent decline of CNN and especially MSNBC has helped them see the bias of their coverage that is so obvious to the many of us.

However, any network that would give Keith Olbermann a prime-time hour every night has a ton of work to do before I'll find myself watching.

maybe the fact that no one watches Olberman has opened their eyes, heh.

Naw, I think MSNBC honestly believes that this is the right thing to do...so good on them for doing it.

Here is the Email I sent to MSNBC

Thank you MSNBC
These are the kind of stories all Americans need to see every night. There are probably thousands of these kind of men and women. I work with some of them everyday at BAMC Ft. Sam Houston. They are the cream of the crop of America.
Thank you again
Monte Turner

Thanks for letting us know about this.

I was wondering if I could have a copy to show my class. I'm a history teacher and would love to expose them to true idols and heros instead of the garbage they get from Mtv.
