Picture of the Day: Batplane Over the Gateway

By John

Yes, I know I just posted a B2 pic a few days ago. But I haven't had a complaint about excessive bat porn yet, and I don't expect to get any soon.

A B-2 Stealth bomber from the 509th Bomb Wing at Whiteman Air Force Base, Mo., flies over the St. Louis Arch on Aug. 10. The B-2 flyover was one of several events celebrating Air Force Week in St. Louis.

I'd love to see the referrers you get once the search engines latch on to "bat porn".

Nice pic, too. The plane may be the most high-tech dinosaur in the world, but it's still a looker.

Why aren't events like this reported in the press?

Look at the horrendous bomb crater in the upper left corner?

I'll bet the entire area, especially East St Louis, looks as bad! ;-)

ROFL Trust!

I did not "get" that until I viewed the enlarged picture.

I'd be more impressed if they flew the thing through the arch instead of over it.

Reminds me of an edited picture, waaaay before Photo Shop, which showed a C-5A flying through the Arch. The caption was: "Hey copilot, what did you say the altimeter setting was again?!"
