What To Do With Lieutenant Watada
By Maj P
An interesting solution to the problem of Lt Watada-- great pic at Michelle Malkin-- was suggested to me at work today:
Relieve him of operational duties and send him to work at Walter Reed, to handle the in- and out-processing of wounded veterans.
Sounds like a good plan to me.

Watada reminds me of the people I encountered as we mobilized units in the Reserve and Guard for Desert Shield/ Storm. There are too many who take the benefits with no thought of giving back.
But... I still remember a young soldier in the AZ Guard who was fighting cancer and showed up for the Mob movement. He didn't want to let his unit down.
I will always remember that young man and as for Watada, send him away ... he is unworthy of the uniform and the company of soldiers.
Court Martial to start off with, then busting rocks in Leavenworth for a few years. That should set the proper example.
But... his famous father wouldn't let that happen.
It sure is nice to have a famous, rich and powerful father, isn't it?
This guy is a real black eye to the Army, if not the entire military. If the military doesn't make an example of this guy it will set a terrible example.
Do you know what branch he was in?
FA
Make an example of him. Nothing else will do.
Just get rid of him.
Twenty years hard labor and a DD for inciting a mutiny ought to do it. Not because I care about this coward, but to send a strong signal to the nation that we are serious.
That is the real tragedy of the Kerry situation. He should have had a very public dishonorable placed in his file when he went to Paris to "negotiate." Let problems fester, and they breed more problems.
20 years of making little rocks out of big rocks..and then the DD
for desertion, aiding the enemy, willfully disobeying lawful orders, conduct unbecoming..
I don't think the Army can convict on the Mutiny charge.
Punish him, Punish him. Do not let him work around our good soldiers. Do not let him interact with real men. Do not let him make money from this cowardly act. I wonder if his daddys taxes are in order? Is daddys car up to safety standards? This is a family of cowards, let's treat them as such. The libs will surely try to make them heroes. We needn't be that dumb!

Send him to Walter Reed? Huh? Maybe as a patient, but never as a free man. He needs to be incarcerated for a very long time.
Take him out back. Shoot him.
Lt Watada may not think that he is invisible when he storms the beachhead like the rest of the brainwashed bootcamp E1 and 2's.
oo imagine you could disagree with the Bush pathological lies ie "there's a terrorist on your roof in Peoria". Or how about "The USA doesn't torture prisoners of war" that has imaginary enemies. Chaney commanded Cent Com to stand down while the commercial jets hijacked on 911 were in rout to the WTC in NYC.
Wake up.
Okay...Steve lets please please think before you type.
1.) CENTCOM (Central Command) does not have responsibility for US defense-that would be NORAD and NORTHCOM. The military is controlled and will only take orders from the following at the top Secretary of Defense (at the time Donald Rumsfeld) or the President while in US territory. Not the Vice President.
2.) Read the 9/11 commission report and do some independent research about the screw-ups from the Carter administration onward.
3.) Also captured terrorists don't fall under the Geneva Conventions. I know you wish they did as then your argument would hold some weight. Don't believe me? Look for yourself here.
Please Steve do like you suggested the rest of us do. Wake Up. Grow A Brain. I am not a "mindless right-wing Bush cheerleader" but I try to make a coherent argument when I oppose something and have a viable solution in mind as an alternative. Otherwise without a solution you look even stupider.
I disagree with what you say (and your apparent lack of intelligence in saying it) but I will die to protect your right to say such things. As LT. Watada obviously wouldn't .

Stevie, heres the link to those Geneva Accords. From the UN website by the way, before you accuse me of "doctoring" the web page or some such.

Came up with one this afternoon. He opposes the iraqi war? Fine. The afghanistan conflict is legal, go there. Of course, due to personel strains looks like you might have to stay an extra year, handling remote sanitation problems...
