Woden —> Odin, the Norse god of war.
Seems like a good day then to air a pic sent to us by Tony-Sahib, of Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden, apparently making good on her obligations of national service.
I’d be happy to pay close attention to her five-paragraph field order. Especially the “desired end state.”
Seriously, as T-S put it, it’s good to see royalty setting the example.

I agree I would pay very close attention. I would have to say that the British Royal, Captain Harry Wales, in Afghanistan and Lt William Wales flying CH47 search and rescue in Wales are setting a very fine example for Royalty.
Good god… have been sitting here trying to come up with a witty rejoinder RE that fine photo. What’s there to say about a hot, fabulously wealthy, civic minded, princess, in camo….?
Good photos here on same topic:

All said and done, they are still “royalty” a classification of personage I do not consider valid in these modern times. It might be a heriditary title, but at some point in the past, their anscestors probably killed our anscestors in order to subject others.
It is definitely good to see Royalty taking their jobs seriously. It certainly is inspiring to see them not as snotty blue-bloods but as people who have a civic duty to the community and the world. It makes them more significant rather than just symbols of monarchy.
