I have a friend who served aboard Conqueror during those operations,and he is amazed that the story is out.Even though he is now a US citizen he is bound by his secrecy oath and will not discuss anything about it,other than to confirm his presence aboard the boat.
Brit submariners have an outstanding rep, or so I read. This lends railroad trains of creedence.
