From the American Specator; Geoge Marshall’s Nobel acceptance speech; his Harvard University speech in which he outlined the Marshall Plan; the most recent Nobel Peace Prize Acceptance Speech; and Kathleen Parker’s and Eugene Robinson’s commentary. I doubt if most know whom the President was referring to when he mentioned Reinhole Niebuhr, so I thought I would provide a history link.
There are many things not to like about the Nobel Peace Prize and the fact that President Obama received this years award, I personally think it was not deserved–yet. Having said that, his speech was powerful, David Brooks, the resident conservative on the New York Times (okay I realize that probably makes him suspect to many conservatives) tonight on the PBS News Hour said it was the most conservative of speeches. (Not posted yet) You decide.
