Let Us Remember

By Townie 76

Henry Joyce Foresman Captain, Army of the United States Retired November 9, 1919—December 28, 2000

He was born ninety years ago this day in East Liberty Pennsylvania and died almost nine years ago in Lexington Virginia.

He was a son, brother, husband, father, uncle, patriarch, friend, attorney, soldiers, but most importantly a good person.

He believed in old fashion values, yet was willing to and reserved the right to change his mind.

He was my best friend, and someone who I miss each day in some way.

So as we go about this day, think about Hank Foresman, and the millions of others of his generation, who answered their nations call, who served in far flung regions of the world in a battle between good and evil, who returned home started their lives and their families, and in general made this country a good place.

Remember them, and those who have come before and who will come after on this Veterans Day, or as it is called in the British Commonwealth, Remembrance Day.
