Captain Michael Scott Speicher
This morning I awoke to the news that the Marines have finally found, and identified, the remains of Desert Storm’s first American Casualty. Commander Speicher’s F/A18 was shot down on the first night of the war in 1991. Controversy has surrounded his whereabouts ever since his aircraft went down.
Finally, Michael’s family can bring their son, husband and father home. Rest in Peace Michael and thank you for your service to our country.

Amen.
Today is coincidentally the nineteenth anniversary of Iraq’s invasion of Kuwait. Of all the soldiers, sailors, airmen and Marines who have spent time in Iraq, CAPT Speicher spent the most. The Long War, indeed.
“Home is the sailor, home from the sea…”
Michael will come home now to rest for
eternity. God bless him.
:( RIP
I have not forgotten this airmen, the last
time they had a lead, was that he,or some
body, scratched his name and date on a wall
in an Iraqy jail cell,or holding room.
Finally,he can be brought home,to American
soil,God Bless this fine member of the US
Airforce.
