Here is a link to a very interesting article in this weeks New Yorker, Anatomy of a War Crime. Unfortunately, without being a subscriber you can not see the entire article, but get an abstract. I have met both COL Steele and General Chiarelli, both are honorable American soldiers. What this article points out is there is a cultural clash within the Army. COL Steele is a light infantryman, where you go to war with what you carry on your back; General Chiarelli is a tanker and Cavalryman, where you go to war with what you carry on your tank. You be the judge who is right and who is wrong.
