Niiiiiice.
It’s probably a good thing for all concerned that there were no cameras near 4th Platoon, Golf Company in 1988, to capture the candidate-shaped dents in the wall lockers. These kids look ENTIRELY too happy. Well rested. And well fed. Because you see, back in the Old Corps…

I LOVE that one of the candidate’s school is..wait for it… “University of California, Berkeley”. A good old, back door, understated, yet unmistakable USMC F-You to Code Pink.
Back in the Old Corps…are we already saying that???
JV – Good catch! Ha!!!
lots of Virginia schools mentioned… though they missed an important one.
I’m pretty sure the first Continental Marine to sign the rolls in Tun Tavern had a great time telling the “boots” who signed up right after him all about the “Old Corps”.
OCS was no joke. I thought 6 weeks of PLC Seniors was more stressful, and certainly more physical, than 13 weeks of recruit training at Parris Island.
Very good ad-I hope it works
