Chinese getting frisky

By Bull Nav

Well, it looks like the Chinese don't want us watching them.

The Defense Department said in a statement that a Chinese intelligence ship and several others surrounded the USNS Impeccable, an unarmed vessel with a civilian merchant marine crew. The U.S. vessel was conducting ocean surveys Sunday in international waters in the South China Sea.

I will be interested to see what our response is.

And so begins the rattling of sabres under Obama's watch. I wonder who is paying attention?

we are 'overwhelmed' by the economic crisis, so do not expect any meaningful response soon...

and do not forget the North Koreans shutting down the hot line to the South Military and Iran testing its another missile...

From the article:
"...the Navy sprayed one ship with water from fire hoses to force it away and the Chinese crew members stripped to their underwear and continued closing..."

What? Is that SOP to strip down?

The appropriate answer is a shot over the bows. Ought not hold my breath for that one.

like the rest of the adversaries of our great nation, they now see weakness...gee I wonder why.

Didn't the same thing happen with W over a spy plane shot down in international waters? I'm sensing a pattern here.

I do not try to draw a line from a dot with no apparent north 40 dot to connect a possible line. It is queer (hat tip L.A) that we have an incident on the big blue with the CHICOMS just prior to the NORKOR launch of a "SAT" missile...just where be our boat (sorry chief!) when said incident occurred? Most import, who be "down range?"

Just stupid asking....

I have heard that Obama is sending a warship to the area. I have no further details.

I have heard that China has expressed public concerns over our economy, debt, and T bill rates. What to make of the pieces?
