Ready, Fire, Aim
By Townie 76
"The Army mistakenly sent letters addressed "Dear John Doe" to 7,000 family members of soldiers who died in Iraq and Afghanistan, unleashing calls from troubled relatives and prompting a formal apology yesterday from the Army's top general."
Someone above the rank of Major needs to lose their job! Who was checking this?

This is bad at so many levels that it boggles the mind. It could not have happened if even one person involved had actually read the letter before it went out.
I absolutely agree that somebody must be held accountable. This is exactly the same kind of benign negligence that occured at Walter Reed, and it implys that the Army learned nothing from that experience.
