C Minus 8

By Lt Col P

The clock ticks on. Still looking for nifty little gifts?

Chamber Maids. Gotta get me some of them.

Sight adjustment tool for the M16 and M4. (Scroll down, the list is alphabetical.) Beats a pen or a round, both of which have more important functions. Here's another one.

Hell, why not an AK sight adjustment tool? Here's one. Aaaaannd here's another.

5.56mm/9mm cleaning kit. Otis makes good gear, but when did these get so expensive?? Yikes. I hope Santa got his supplemental funding.

A new book on Iraq, the first, I think from Marine Corps University Press-- Among the People: Marines in Iraq. It's a photo essay by an intrepid Marine reservist and truly gifted photographer, LtCol David Benhoff. Oh, and did I mention-- he's VMI Class of 1986. Marines and VMI grads, shoot me an email and I can put you in touch with him if you want a signed copy. (The link above is the only place I've found it on sale for sure, but if you call the MCU Press, they might be able to offer more choices.)

Any other ideas?

I prefer the Boresnake...

Slings. Those make a great gift. The Galco BATTL sling works great for my Mossberg 535, and I intend to obtain one for my new Mini-14. 'Course they make it for the M4/16, AK47, and the M1A (M14).

Take the Viking Tactics 2 point sling for a test drive:

I have one on my Mossberg 590 and on my S&W M&P15 now. I was running home built modified 3 points until I gave this thing a try and it is the bee's knees. Transitioning to weak side is fast and slicker than hog snot.

Magpul's MOE stuff for those with an AR/M4 clone is good stuff at a very reasonable price for AR accessories. The one thing I didn't like about my M&P was the stock wobble with the original stock; I switched to a Magpul CTR and love it. The MOE version of the CTR doesn't have the 2nd friction lock option but is reportedly just as solid.

Pic of my M&P with the CTR stock:

If you want to buy a car, you would have to receive the business loans. Furthermore, my brother always takes a sba loan, which is really reliable.
