This is just too good to pass up.

Green Party presidential candidate Cynthia McKinney, known for her provocative statements when she was a congresswoman from Georgia, accused the Department of Defense this week of using Hurricane Katrina to cover up the slaughter of 5,000 prisoners. At a news conference in Oakland, Calif., on Sunday, McKinney claimed the Pentagon authorized the execution of the prisoners with one bullet to the head three years ago and then dumped their bodies in a Louisiana swamp.

I mean, I know things were bad down yonder in Louisana, but come on. Why would you even spout off such obvious crap?

The only redeeming thing about the whole issue is that she is running as the Green Party candidate for President, which says a whole lot about them...

I find myself wondering more and more lately, "where the hell did America lose it?!". How the hell can so many be so screwed up between the ears?! This can't be happening. But it is. I blame my fellow "baby boomer" generationers (and Billy Jeff, hissef). We abandoned our "WWII Generation" parent's character, honor & integrity values. We launched the '60s "if it feels good, do it" attitude. Now, our offspring are expressing the Cynthia McKinney attitudes and totally warped mindsets. I guess the chickens have come home to roost and the piper is demanding his bill be paid. No, our parents weren't perfect, nor were they "June & Ward Cleaver" or "Ozzie & Harriet" but they had solid values and did the best they could with what they had. And we trashed it. God help us...US...

Unfortunately, as Cobb notes this sort of "conspiracy theory stuff ... passes for political thought in many black communities." Convince a few charasmatic types like McKinney and Rev. Wright that the whole country is against them because of their skin color and let them spread the nonsense. Oh, and aid and abet them with substandard education to reduce the chance of others calling BS on them.

Well,there really is a "Green Party">. And McKinney and isn't the only idiot running - they have a "Vice Presidential" candidate named Rosa Clemente who has kudos from (no kidding) a Markist support site (OK, who's surprised?).
