This War, 15 Years On

By Lt Col P

MMM reminds us it was 15 years ago that jihad hit America's shores.

The first World Trade Center attack killed a handful compared to 9/11, and should have woken up a nation. It did not. We have lived to regret our failure to heed the warning.

Remember that day, and think hard about where it has lead us. The lessons have yet to be learned fully, I fear.

Could not the same have been said of 1970 and 3 aircraft in Jordan? 1983 in Lebanon? Or 1986 and then in 1987? Followed by 1988?

The "war" has been on for a long time-at least as long as criminals have been around. The war on crime did not divert cities from pursuing agendas of self improvement.

There is a lesson int there somewhere.
