Great photos in the article. The caption on this one purportedly shows Miss J wearing Gunny’s chevrons. I have searched the photo from from stem to stern and cannot find the insignia. I must be distracted.

Seriously, she’s done a fine thing and brought a little bit of happiness to some much-deserving Marines and sailors. We ought not forget it.
