Marine Corps Reserve Recruiting Pitch

This is aimed at Marines who are in the reserves, or are about to be in the Reserves. If you don’t fit those categories, you need not read further. You’re welcome to, but it won’t mean much to you.

My reserve unit needs Captains and Majors (Lieutenants too, if we can find ‘em) to fill a variety of positions, most of them in the platoons as SALT and FCT leaders. Warrant Officers are welcome as well. You will be sent to jump school, and several other schools that most units fight to get quotas for are easy for us to arrange.

Combat Arms MOSs are preferred, airborne qualification is a bonus. Support MOSs are welcome but you will need to retrain in Combat Arms. (Unless you want to stay in that line of work, in which case we have positions in the staff too.)

We have a great unit, with challenging drills, a superior I&I staff, and a demanding exercise and deployment schedule. If you want to deploy, there are opportunities; if you need a break from deploying, we can oblige you too. This is a good place to find a home for a couple of years and broaden your career. I had a great time in the artillery battalion I was in, but I wish I had found this unit earlier.
