Hawgs are so hawt.
An A-10 Thunderbolt II, like this one, is among the various U.S. Central Command Air Forces air assets available for providing close-air support for International Security Assistance Force troops in contact with enemy forces in Iraq and Afghanistan. The A-10 is specially designed for close air support of ground forces and can be used against all ground targets, including tanks and other armored vehicles. (U.S. Air Force photo/Capt. Justin T. Great picture, thanks
The Avenger makes it look like a shark smoking a cigar.. which is rather appropriate really.
Does it really have that flag in the windscreen, and if so, does it interfere with vision?
We could almost call this Aircraft Porn.
What is it about warplanes that is just so cool?
“What big teeth you have!”
Looks to me like the flag decal is in a spot which is blocked from the pilot’s vision anyway. Looks like this one has the new targeting pod- about freakin’ time, if you ask me.
I have to thank God each and every day for those planes and the men flying them! Especially in Afghanistan where my friend is boots on the ground!
Keep em flying!
