A KC-10 Extender flown by a blended crew from McGuire Air Force Base, N.J., prepares to refuel a C-5 Galaxy July 23 from the 436th Airlift Wing at Dover AFB, Del. The blended crew comprises Airmen from both the active duty 305th Air Mobility Wing and the Air Force Reserve 514th AMW at McGuire AFB. There are two blended teams competing at Air Mobility Rodeo 2007. The other blended team is from Charleston AFB, S.C. Photo Courtesy of the US Air Force.

Yes, I will take pictures, even if it is the Thunderbirds…

  2. So I guess they could not give the Blue Angels to show up and give a real air show?

  3. bullnav says:

Yeah, but in all fairness, the Blue Angels performed at this show last year. Still liket the Blue Angels better…

Oh, did you notice that two of the T-bird pilots this year are women?

Air Power Demo in 79 CVW-2/USS Ranger in the Sea of Japan. Atkron One Four Five loaded up the venerable A-6E with 28, count em, 28 Mk 82 500 pounders for the Japanese Self Defense Force Minister. The crew rippled them. Man it was great!

We also had one do a high-loft with a Mk 84 1 ton bomb. It blew the target flare out as in gone, no more.
