Time To Buy Some Labatt
By Lt Col P
The Torch has a great idea. Good cause, good beer. What's not to like?
(They also stick to their own substantial peacenik population, not once but twice. If the title of that second link has some un-Canadian language, well, this is wartime and war's an ugly business. I'm glad to see them pulling no punches.)
Man, I love that site.

Agreed. Maybe Lighting 6 will go for Labatt's too?
The "instant" middle east expert phenomena is outright scary. Not too long ago, I was taught that "armageddon" is a consistent concept expressed in Farsi. If one doesn't understand this cultural value, then one cannot properly use the language. For comparison, think about the abundant variations of english, particularly slang and colloquialisms.
That aside, I'm off to a raucous wedding this evening, with an afterparty at a local riverside shanty. Labatt's will be the celebratory brew.
Forgot my name on my 0451 post...not quite a surprising thing for an attorney.
Don't sweat it, VFRMarine. I had guessed who it was! (I'll ask the 6 too...)

Friendly with Cuba/Russia/China/North Korea, 18 terrorist suspect suspects out on bail in Toronto awaiting trial which won't begin for more than 2 years, lax security at borders and ports, rabid anti-American sentiment.
Our Military is desparately trying to carry out it's mission, yet has to listen to such scurrilous attacks.
I am ashamed, sirs, ashamed of the directions this country is taking, and will say that's not how one Canaian feels. Ironic that so many of these attacks usually come to light just prior to major American holidays.
