Hell I didn’t even know the Koreans had moved into Kunsan. Are we BRAC’ing in Korea too?

when I was over there in the early 80′s the reason we never had joint flying exercises togather is because the ROKAF always flew with hot munitions! Remember, they are still at war.
moving the two air forces together doesn’t make sense to me. Best spread them out and diversify the targets that North Korean artillery will have to hit.
If the North Koreans are deploying artillery which can kit Kunsan some amazing things have happened up north. It’s a good 60 miles (as the TLAM flies) to the DMZ.
Alas, even Kunsan is off the BRAC list. The RoKAF has been on the premises for quite a while.
TrustButVerify, you’re thinking of Osan. Kunsan even further down the coast, it’s at least 125 miles to the ‘Z.
