I am dedicating this one to my two favorite Citadel alumni bloggers, Skippy-san and Steeljaw Scribe:

    YOU HAVE “FAVORITE” CITADEL ALUMNI?????

  2. bullnav says:

Yeah, so? They aren’t so bad once you get to know ‘em :)

Lots of experience between the two of them, and lots of good words of wisdom.

  3. You have to realize what an effort it is to get all 5 aircraft up at one time. In this case because their 5th aircraft is usually in depot-its nothing short of a miracle.

Its also a recent photo, they have only had the 8 blade props for about 4 months.

Look, ma! An official U.S. Navy photograph of FIVE flying saucers!

  5. XBradTC says:

There may 5 in the air at the same, but that ain’t a formation! That can only be called a gaggle.

  6. Nice shot! And let me underscore Skippy-sans comment re. getting the 5th one airborne -no mean feat that (having 5 at one time in one of my squadrons – see the Resurrection of BuNo 160992 series at the mothership). Thanks!
