Question....

By John

Does anyone know the membership requirements for the Army-Navy Country Club? Fees? Do you have to be active duty or can reservists/national guard join? Is it worth the dough?

I played the Arlington course a few years ago, really enjoyed it.

They couldn't pay me enough to live on the Least Coast, let alone be live or work in the Beltway, but... The only club of theirs I'd be interested in, would be a gun club. (For Fleet Week they'd let us try out the sixteen inchers...)

There is a membership which varies based on rank. We're non-resident members as we're stationed across the country so we have limited usage but only pay $265 a year. My husband loves the golf and the pools, workout rooms and tennis courts are pretty nice. Not sure about the guard/reserve thing but I do know that there is a waitlist.

Heh. Brings up memories. I learned to swim there - oh _so_ many years ago! Come summertime, we spent many many hours by the poolside. I know there must have been more, but the pool is all I remember!
