Great Speech but has this guy been hiding from the media? I doubt it, but every single day I have to see John Murtha’s face on television. Fair and balanced I guess.
“We must not repeat the mistakes of the past, instead learn from them. We must not cut funding for our troops, we must stick by them, we must support them all the way.”
The left does not care about this and their political gains whether intentional or not are our defeat on the battlefield. Not once do you hear them talking about victory or contributing to it.
Murtha has already come up with a ‘slow bleed ‘ strategy. How sick is that? But they will say that they still support the troops.
Hillary has already said that she wants to start a ‘redeployment’ in 90 days like she is talking to a bunch of idiots that don’t know what redeployment really means(retreat and surrender).
These people need to be called out and defeated every single day. It is not being done enough. If they get their way and our kids have to face a much bigger threat and conflict to face, they will try to wash their hands from situation that they created.
Every single day call these people out. They must be defeated or they are going to send this country down a very dark path.
We don’t learn from the mistakes of the past. That’s why we’ve had an absolutely pathetic performance in the field of counter-insurgency operations in Iraq. Big Army likes centralized control with cool digital displays so an O-5 can make decisions an E-6 or an O-1 should be making.
I am mildly encouraged by reports of platoons being embedded in neighborhoods on a permanent basis, instead of just hanging out for a few hours a day before heading back to the FOB at the end of a patrol. Living amongst the people is an effective and proven COIN technique. Let’s hope it’s widely embraced.
The Democrats want to leave. The Republicans want to stay the course(or rather have the troops stay the course… I don’t know of any politicians who are stationed in Iraq right now). They’re both a bunch of idiots, in my opinion.
