Too Late to Stop Iran Bomb

By John

So sez the European Union:

Iran will be able to develop enough weapons-grade material for a nuclear bomb and there is little that can be done to prevent it, an internal European Union document has concluded.

"Little that can be done?" Au contraire, mes amis...

Just sayin', is all.

Israeli F16i's would be more appropriate, but your point is well made!

satire only, I swear!

the EUROPEAN UNION may not be able to do anything about it, but the UNITED STATES has plenty they can do. Plenty.

It was very nice to see them admitting how useless the diplomatic route is, however.

I highly doubt the solution to the Iranian bomb is an Osirak-like raid. The Iranians will be a little smarter... hiding elements of their program all around the country and underground in dozens, possibly hundreds of locations.

Then there's the whole credibility issue. Remember the last time we pre-emptively attacked a country on the basis of them having WMD's??

Yep, we conquered it.

Ben Bauman   ·  February 12, 2007 09:47 PM

We've conquered Iraq? And I suppose you think we won Vietnam...

perhaps someone could take a minute to think about iran people, who might just not be very enthusiastic about their government working on their own nuclear weapon. if there's someone who can do something about it, it's them.

Don't get me wrong - I have alot of love for the Persian people, esp. the educated lot who despise the theocracy...STILL, we've been talking about the mighty Iranian Street for 2 decades now and what has that gotten us? For G*d sake, they haven't even attempted revolution, so I cannot see them ousting the Mullahs, at very least, until the bombs start falling...

People of the world - you will reap what your leaders sow, and if your leaders threaten another nation, expect that nation to bomb your nation... and in war, innocents die! If Ahmadinijad does not speak on behalf of the Persian people, I ask: WHY DO THE PERSIAN PEOPLE ALLOW HIM TO INVITE THE WORLD'S SCORN (and precision munitions) UPON THEIR HOMES?
