Let’s see – she’s on “extended active duty” – the Armed Forces have a history of discharging people who pose in playboy. You want to get OFF extended active duty. Her husband is also armed forces (probably also on active)
So, how do you get out? Humm – She can’t pull a Cpl Klinger (for those of you old enough to remember MASH). Lightbulb “I’m a good looking woman – send photos to playboy….”
I’m curious, what is the issue here? I can see several possible reasons why this is inappropriate, but which one if the Air Force jumping on?
1. There’s the issue of posing in uniform. I seem to recall the military has regulations against making money off your uniform.
2. I can see a work relation problem. Anyone who sees those pics could have trouble relating to her as a person/sergeant, so it causes a discipline problem.
3. There’s a conduct unbecoming kind of issue, though I think it’s a little debateable how serious the issue is.
Those are the problems that jump to my mind, are there others?
Dick, if I know the Air Force, they have a reg tucked away somewhere that regulates what is allowed to be funny.
That scene in the movie Armageddon (feel free to stop reading this), where the AF Colonel pulls out the “Official US Air Force Drilling Card” cracks me up. Ever hear that phrase, “it’s funny cause it’s true?”
Women out of uniform… a gratifying spectacle.
Her and Lisa Nowak can both do the court martial together.
Robert
She’s a drill sergeant, and she just doesn’t see what’s wrong with this? … and she’s a sergeant? Egads!
But she is most definitely a Hawtie!
Maybe she was just trying to err, improve the Air Force’s, umm, image with the general public…

CRAZY like a fox
This is one of those rare cases in which I’d have to return a salute with my left hand…
Think about recruitment here folks…..
I see a calender in the future……

The Air Force needs a sense of humor. But that’s probably out of the question.

Love the AF, but good gawd they can be obtuse.
Active duty personnel are required to get permission of their command to have a second job. The job cannot be detrimental to service image.
Stripper, model, etc are and have been crash and burns for decades…
Failure to obey a lawfull order or regulation. Two counts.
- Uniform reg
- Second job
Conduct unbecoming.
