Pin Ups for Vets
By John
You guys have heard about this awesome project right?
Over the past year, I have heard and read incredible stories about the injured soldiers returning from military service. Their hardest battles have just begun, as they attempt to recover in Veterans Hospitals all across America. I was touched by each story, and knew that I had to try to do something to help our hospitalized Vets. I came up with an idea to recreate a World War II style pin-up calendar that would have the dual purpose of raising money for programs that support hospitalized Veterans, and also serve as a GIFT for each and every Veteran, as they recover in a Veterans Hospital.
Got emails from both the lovely Gina and a Marine Corps Captain from the Naval Medical Center in San Diego earlier. Gina will be headed down to NMCSD in a few weeks to visit with the wounded, hand out calendars, and otherwise remind our boys what they're fighting for.
You can help make this visit happen by purchasing a calendar here. From that link the calendar will find its way into the hands of a very happy service member (presumably serviceman, ha). And it's tax deductible!
In all seriousness, Gina wants to be able to hand out as many as these as possible. Please help ensure that she doesn't run out when she visits NMCSD.
Also, any military charities that are interested in stocking Gina's calendar in care packages, please email her.

I have a calendar like this, but it's called Pin-Ups for Troops. I always buy pin-up calendars anyway, but being in the Navy eventhough I don't support the war, I think this is a great idea. I think it's awesome that beautiful women are bringing back the classic 50's pin-up style. Keep up the inspiring work, ladies!
