Another plot by practicioners of the religion of peace has been uncovered, just in the nick of time. The key thing to note here is that it was to have been an “Iraq-style” kidnapping perpetrated in the UK, not overseas, and against a Muslim! (And apparently a specific person too, already targeted and under surveillance.)
Britain, like much of continental Europe, has a potentially crippling problem with large, angry, unassimilated Muslim populations, who will happily bite off the hands that fed them. I think a substantial part of the reason why European countries haven’t “rucked up” in this war is because they fear a violent internal backlash. Their fearful populations, made docile and sheep-like by years of cradle-to-grave social programs, don’t value liberty anymore. They value security, or the appearance of it, and they’ll pay a steep price to get it. Unfortunately the price they’re paying rides on our backs.
It’s a sad fact, but a fact nonetheless, that although we can breathe a sigh of relief that this plot was foiled, others will come up. The attacker always holds the advantages of choosing the time, place and form of the attack. Eternal vigilance is the key. I hope we’re up to it.
