Picture of the Day: Virtual Wetting-Down

By Lt Col P

Wet-Down.JPG

I'll be getting at the remnants of these later, join me in spirit with your spirits...

Aberlour is my go-to scotch. I gave up Grey Goose years ago in favor of Belvedere; if the Poles are standing by us in the war, it's the least I can do for them.

Outstanding! And in my best Polish, "Zime piwo!" (cold beer) that's all I know.

Congrats, sir! I'll raise a Ardbeg to you later tonight.

I'm drinking some of my wife's fru-fru wine right now in honor. Congratulations!

Of course, Grey Goose is now owned by Bacardi, a U.S. company, based in Miami, Florida.

You ever try Monopolowa vodka? 100% potato, from Austria, and an absolute steal at around $12 the quart. It;s the preferred variety for my Euro and Russian friends here in the States [Texas(Houston)].

A good potato vodka will beat any grain vodka hands down. I prefer Polish brands personally.

Congrats on the LT Col!

Scotch whiskey from the UK and Vodka from Poland?

Isn't good American booze good enough for you??

Remember who pays that promotion pay!!

JimPv: I also had a growler of fine Old Dominion Brewery's Hop Pocket Ale, made right here in Northern VA!

Army Lawyer: Huzzah! to you! What a great old phrase, very Flashman-ian.

I served in Iraq with some Polish GROM commandos and Belvedere is definitely my brand now!
Congrats!
