Well, I went for the upgraded Toshiba Notebook, the Satellite A105-S4014. It has a biometric fignerprint reader on it, which lets me substitute passwords for my fingerprint.
Thanks to everyone who commented. Except those who recommended Macs. You all are communists*.
*I kid, I kid…

1) The biometric thingy is about as secure as putting your passwords on a sticky underneath your laptop.
The cheap ones on the laptops can be easily fooled by GummieBears, PlayDoh and other easy to do techniques. Google it.
2) Mac’s are awesome. They are no longer and more expensive than a comparable quality laptop made by another top tier pc vendor like Thinkpad.
And the have one most awesome, incredible, secure, reliable, dependable, rock solid thing that Microsoft does not… UNIX.
It has a biometric fignerprint reader on it, which lets me substitute passwords for my fingerprint.
In the Communist Mactopia, they substitute your fingerprint for your passwords.
Tsk Tsk Tsk….. still a slave to Steve Ballmer and the empire in Redmond.
Have fun with those 144,000 virii and vulnerabilities.

A Mac convert, as of Dec 2006.
I’m gonna find you.
It’s not often that the smaller force in asymmetric warfare actually have the better equipment…and operating system.
All power to the Macs!
I have to be a dissenter and say that in the last three years I have not had a single problem with windows xp, except for sometimes when i try to run mac programs on it. And I haven’t gotten a virus on it in about 5 years.
Charlie,
Have you too realized that Mac owners were likely to have supported Kerry/Edwards, pride themselves on their Miatas or Prii (plural of Prius)? Outside of graphically intensive applications, I really do not know what to do with a Mac. I just wish the nose-pickers that write PC viri wrote some for the Mac, but they are likely the ones using Macs.
Good luck with the Scatelite.

Bwah-ha … that line just makes me chuckle. Not that it’s true, just that the way the sentence rolls off the tongue …
I have a very good friend that likes to say, “You are scratched!” It has the same sorta ring to it, for me.
(you are scratched refers to VINYL RECORDS, people, meaning i cannot understand you or you don’t make any sense, goober.)
