Waiting on the NY Times Story.....

By John

Coalition Kills 15 Taliban in Afghanistan

Thanks to Radio Free Afghanistan for getting this story out. What the hell are the MSM stringers doing over there that they're missing a story like this?

Course if it were 15 coalition troopers killed, we'd see front page coverage nationwide.

Credit where credit is due though. CBS ran a nice piece earlier on a National Guard doctor treating Afghani children: American Doctors Treating 2 Afghan Children.

It's a start.....

Hat tip to Security Watchtower they always have the non-reported stories that have more relevance to the current WOT than the days terrorist bombing of a group of Iraqi women & children in some market.

This one talks of the efforts of task force 145 and coalition string of success on rolling up AQ top leadership in Iraq. Of course the media reporting this may give the impression that A) our military is competent B) AQ is not getting stronger in Iraq but being bleed to death and losing in the process side gains would be 1) interrogation does yes that was does gain actionable intelligence if exploited and allowed contrary to all the PC pansies and McCain which I am sorry to sound cruel but in his case you just cant ask a previous victim to make judgment on such a things merit without a powerful biased response he is human for gods sake 2) our military has adapted unlike popular perception very effectively from one to face Soviet tank divisions to hit run exploit prisoners and captured Intel then repeat at high pace and speed. 3) the previous is a direct result of the Bushitlers changing of the ROE for SOF taking the authorization for Ops from Washington all the way down to the field commander. I remember when they enacted that policy it got little press and the little it did had no understand of the potential it had for revolution in the speed of our military and exploitation of Intel it held.

This is the best its two stories about how those useless Iraqi police IP in one and Iraqi Army IA forces not only withstood major assaults but turned the tables on the enemy and literally decimated them.

The first is of Iraqi police in two simultaneous engagements that withstood a major strike one group killing 21 capturing 43 the other attack 17 dead 23 captured terrorist. That is amazing and not only kills the IP are useless agenda line but proves how insanely effective our tactics are by that once learned by fellow Iraqis they to can decimate the enemy even without our high tech edge.

The second is about IA who recovered from a sneak attack using a wedding party as cover (hmm how times have we heard after air strikes from our media that reports on the ground say it wasn’t terrorist but a innocent wedding party? Hmmm) but the initial attack took a heavy toll 6dead 8wounded IA but they didn’t break and run they stood recovered initiative and killed 4 and captured 15 enemy. But I thought the NPR guy said he saw the IA forces just hiding and quivering in the corners at Tal Afar and other places, what happened, did he lie?

Another thing is everyone who gets their news from the blogs not the so called “American media” know how 06’ to date is turning out to be the lowest casualties since the beginning per month. But even with this the media at first just ignored this good news. The other night I was flipping channels and hit CNN there I heard them balance the fact of the new Iraqi gov forming and making first business the elimination of the militia with this line "April is turning out to be the bloodiest month for the US soldiers THIS YEAR" I almost jumped thought the roof with outrage at that. “This Year” for the poor person who gets their news in a short time they watch the Media and think wow worst casualties things is falling apart.
Of course CNN is not even going to explain that comment with the fact that yes April was the highest casualties for this year 06’ BUT 06’ has averaged the lowest per month casualties since the first year of the occupation.
The media’s propaganda agenda has become so blatant they don’t even try to be slick about it anymore. The only good point I see is that after this if we can hold on and win in Iraq this war will be a Vietnam moment but not like the media wants. I think if we can hold the media will be utterly discredited and for a generation their opinion and word will be useless just like the damage done to the military, government, and Republicans after Vietnam but on the Media and the Left instead this time.

Not sure if this last scenario will pan out but one can hope for a revival of US nationalism.

But waiting on the "american Media" to come around and drop the "world citizen" claim code for anti-american propogandist is hopeless.
