I am concerned that the test vehicles were relatively blunt, spreading the impact over a larger area. What would happen if an invading vehicle would mount a prow-shaped blade, focusing the entire impact on a small area? Of course, this would immediately make the invading vehicle identifiable at a distance, unless the blade/prow was deployed at the last moment.

pretty awesome
OK as a barrier to moving vehicles.
Concept looks somewhat flawed, however: can the suspension cable be depressed low enough to allow easy pass-over?
